NO yeast, NO sugar, FAST and TASTY pies!π
Cocroque is a dish of Udmurt cuisine, very similar to our usual pies.
Cocroques are prepared from yeast-free unleavened dough, and potatoes, pumpkin, carrots, turnips, cabbage, fruits can be used as a filling.
Let's make apple cocci today! It's my favourite ones! and my sons likes them so much!π
We need:
- Chicken egg- 2 pcs
- Plant Milk - 1 glass
- Plant Butter or Melted Butter- 150 g
- Whole-grain Wheat flour - 2 glasses
- Apple (medium size) - 2 pcs
At first we make dough mixing milk with butter and flour with eggs.
The dough is very plastic and soft.
Then we take small pieces and create small circles (not very thin)
Grind apples using a grater
Put apples on your dough circles and "close" them using any way your like (with fingers or a fork)
To make pies brighter and more attractive, we can grease them with an egg yolk.
Bake cockroques in the oven for about 20 min.
Ready!
