How about this for the ultimate comfort meal? Bacon, beef, cheese? Like a giant bacon double cheeseburger? Sounded great to me - and it was!
This is my entry for this week's @foodfightfriday challenge.
Bacon Cheeseburger Casserole
Start by browning:
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 2 Tablespoons garlic granules
In a separate pan, fry up:
- 1 pound bacon pieces
- 8 eggs
- 1/2 cup ketchup or pasta sauce
- 1 cup cream
- 3 cups (12 oz) cheddar cheese shreds
In a 9x13 inch baking dish, spread the ground beef and fried bacon.
Pour over the egg and cheese mixture
Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is melted and golden.
Feel free to print and save these for home use.

Two of my kitchen witches. One hung in my grandmother's kitchen as long as I can remember, so I have mine - adding a certain magickal spice to my cooking, presumably...
My grandmother's now lives in my mother's kitchen.
