How To Make Sweet Corn Dessert

As much as possible, as much as we can, don't bring our problems into things that shouldn't be. For example to the bedroom, and to the dining table.

At least that is our way of appreciating the food that has been served at the dinner table. We must welcome it happily, then we enjoy gratefully. That's why we should be grateful and pray before eating food. That's what my family taught me about an important tradition at the dinner table.

Well, about the fun at the dinner table, this time I will share simple desserts made from corn ingredients, with corn flour.

There are bright ingredients in the pantry and it makes me happy to prepare sweet desserts. Incidentally, in my area cornstarch is packaged in an attractive yellow color. So, this time is yellow vibes, fun vibes.

So, let me show you how to make corn desserts with simple ingredients. My little niece of course loves these kinds of desserts.




THE INGREDIENTS

  • 2 corn still with corn cob
  • 100 grams of corn flour
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 800 ml of coconut milk
  • Pandan leaves or vanilla
  • a pinch of salt



HOW TO MAKE IT

- STEP 1

Grate corn. This does make your hands work hard if you are not used to grating corn. Alternatively, you can crush the corn kernels using a food processor.

- STEP 2

After getting the corn puree, mix them with all the ingredients in a cooking pot. Stir well until there are no lumps. After mixing well, then turn on the fire. Keep stirring so that the mixture doesn't burn.

- STEP 3

Cook until the mixture becomes thick, slightly hard and bubbles appear on the surface.

- STEP 4

Move the mixture after it is cooked, transfer it to the mold according to taste. Topped with sesame seeds and coconut flakes or roasted almond flakes.

If you want to serve cold, store it in the refrigerator before serving. If you want the dessert warm, then serve it straight away.

For myself, I prefer warm conditions because it becomes like grits. But sometimes I also like cold corn desserts on a hot day.

Unfortunately, I forgot this rule this week and had a fight with someone dear to me at the table- it should never happen and I’m determined to try and remember my manners.
