You probably didn't expect something like this from me, but I have decided to publish this short video that my wife created while we were repairing her digital piano.

This is a digital piano that is over 10 years old now, and recently some keys have started to fail. The problem is that they get stuck down, they do not lift to the normal position. This is the second key to this problem in one month.

At first, be sure that the piano is unplugged. You have to unscrew the screws on the back of the piano to lift the cover. Keep disassembling the parts to reach the keyboard. Once we can work with the back part of the keys, raise the affected key by slightly opening the plastic clip that holds it. Take out the key, you will now see the hammer and the hammer cap. If it is worn, as in my case, you will have to take out all the particles ( for example with tweezers) and replace it with a new one. Assemble all the parts of the piano and that's it. You can play it again 😁

I hope that this will help someone as it wasn't so complicated as people usually think...

Thank you for your valuable time,

~ph~

Great tutorial!

Thank you... The most important thing is that it worked! :)

So, if your digital piano doesn't work, call me... 🤣

Actually my daughter has one but it's still working ;-)

That's great! Does she go to music school, also? Or plays like a hobby?

My daughter has a lot of talent for music. Well I can't really be objective because I'm a total music noob. But to me it sounds quite nice what she does.

She taught herself first to play the guitar with youtube videos. Now she is learning to play the keyboard by herself. She doesn't have much time for music however because she is training in sports every day... Sometimes I wonder where she takes this energy from :-)
